About Me

My name is Timo Topp and it is my passion to help people live healthier, happier lives.

As a highly experienced personal trainer and wellbeing coach I have supported mental and emotional conversations for over 20 years leading me to study and qualify as a mental health counsellor.

I now combine counselling with my expertise of healthy active lifestyle as a core part of improving mental health for a unique approach to traversing life’s tough times effectively called Move Your Mind.

Specialising in grief….

I specialise in grief because we all go through grief in our lives.

Grief is more than just the loss of a loved one, it can be the loss of anything significant in life, such as:

✔ Relationship loss

✔ Missing family who live far away

✔ Pet loss

✔ Health or financial loss

✔ Job loss

Grief is a natural emotional reaction to loss that is not something to be ‘cured’ suppressed or ignored, it needs to be expressed, processed and navigated in a healthy way and on one’s own, people are not equipped or trained to deal with it effectively.

Going through grief means coping with how you feel, learning what to do when you can’t cope and learning how to establish continuing bonds with whatever you have lost and making a plan to feel in control and move forward in a positive and purposeful way.

I use a variety of counselling techniques including cognitive behavioural therapy and a relatively new form of therapy called Acceptance and Commitment therapy to help you…

  • Relate to your thoughts, situation and emotions in a broader, healthier way.
  • Develop a plan for navigating your situation to feel empowered.
  • Develop a self-care plan for looking after yourself and your health.

How it works…

Most counselling is conducted in stuffy little rooms with little natural light or air. I offer two different approaches…

Move your mind

Instead of a stuffy room how about getting out and about into nature for a ‘walk and talk’ session. Movement is an integral part of feeling better and clearing the head so combined together they form a unique counselling session.

Zoom your mind

Sessions can also be conducted online for your convenience and in the privacy of your own home.
